Biography

My specialty is in doing portraits of my client’s dog from photos. If you would like a beautiful 18″ x 24″ acrylic painting on canvas that is beautifully framed, send my a photo of your pet, and I will provide you with a quote on price and delivery.
My first experience in art was in grammar school when I did pencil sketches of Disney characters like Donald Duck and Mickey Mouse. As I went on to Jr. High and High School I continued with my pencil drawings and a few pen and ink drawings. Enclosed is a pencil sketch picture of my brother’s dog “Champ“ and a pen and ink sketch of a Cocker Spaniel.

When I attended college I worked on the school magazine as an illustrator. One of the drawings I created was the enclosed picture of “The Gun Fighter”

Another pencil sketch I made in High School of a Great Dane.

Another one of my college sketches was the enclosed Indian.
When I reached my senior year of college I tool a course in water colors and did my 1st actual color painting of the Lone Ranger.

After spending 4 years in the Navy after graduating from OCS I got married and settled back into Boston and lived there for a total over 70 years.

In 2008 my wife and I moved to Orange County where my painting proliferated. Before coming to Ca I had done a total of only 5 paintings. Since moving to California I have completed over 70 acrylic paintings.
As you will see on my web site I really love painting dogs and horses. My paintings are extremely versatile in their subject matter including seascapes, abstracts, landscapes etc. All my paintings incorporate vibrant colors regardless of the subject matter especially in my horse and seascapes.
I will be glad to quote you on the price of painting you wish to own. If you see a painting that you like, but have changes in mind (e.g., different colors), it can be done at no extra charge.
